New Year's Resolutions!
Here at HDU we hope you are making at least one resolution for 2022: to exercise more! We totally get how hard it is to fit even a little exercise into your dialysis life. But the benefits are huge! Increasing physical activity levels improves the health and quality of life of patients with kidney disease.
Focus on our Friends
Our colleagues at Renal Support Network offer online classes especially for the CKD community. On Tuesdays, RSN offers a virtual exercise class with the use of a chair for sitting and balance; it’s effective, gentle, and fun. There are no fees to attend, but registration is required. Click here for more information and to register.
Personal trainer Edina Tanacs offers online exercise classes for people who have kidney disease. (Please clear with your doctor that you are ok to do light stretching and exercises.) Have a sturdy chair handy. Classes are one hour long but you can opt to join for the first half hour, the second half hour, or the full hour as you have time and are physically able.
There are no fees to attend, but registration is required. Mondays and Wednesdays, 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm PT. Click here for more information and to register.
