Curtis Warfield

Curtis Warfield is a Senior Quality Analyst. In 2012 he was diagnosed with Stage 3 CKD disease due to FSGS and by December 2014 he started peritoneal dialysis. When his daughter was deemed unsuitable to be his living donor her college sorority sister step forward and donated one of her kidneys “just because” she wanted to help.
Since receiving his kidney in January 2016, Curtis is very passionate in advocating and educating about CKD, dialysis, organ donation and living donors. “Giving forward” to help others with kidney disease Curtis is advocate on Capitol Hill for several different advocacy organizations. He provides peer counseling for CKD and post-transplant patients and their families. His public speaking events have included schools, youth, church and civic groups speaking about his journey, CKD and organ donation.
Curtis has written several articles for several newsletters, newspapers and featured in annual reports kidney and organ donation organizations. Curtis serves on several Technical Expert Panels (TEP) and study groups concerning CKD and dialysis.
Curtis has a B.S. Degree from Central Michigan University, and a M.S. M. degree from Oakland City University. Married for 34 years, Curtis has 4 adult children, and one grandchild. His hobbies include, photography, music and sports.
