Chelsea Roman was born in complete kidney failure two months early, weighing only 3lbs.  She never had more than 25% kidney function growing up but was able to maintain kidney function through diet for 32 years. She started on home hemodialysis in 2017 and did solo home hemodialysis for 2 years before receiving a transplant, after being on the list for 7 years. 

She is married and works as a Patient Consultant for NxStage Medical. Chelsea enjoys educating patients and their family on the benefits of home dialysis by sharing about her life living with kidney disease, dialysis and transplant. She uses all social media platforms to show that life does not have to slow down when dealing with a chronic illness. She is passionate about home dialysis and inspiring others through sharing her journey.
